Sabelo Ngebiyana left South Africa for Tanzania on Wednesday hoping to upstage Tanzanian Tony Rashid when they clash on Friday.

Ngebiyana collides with Rashid in a vacant African Boxing Union (ABU) junior-featherweight title contest at the Kilimanjaro Hall, Ubungo Plaza, in Dar-Es-Salaam.

The erstwhile South African junior-bantamweight champion is going to be ushered into war by former boxer Junior Assoya when he clashes with Rashid. Assoya is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and is now based in Johannesburg.

“A guy by the name of Junior Assoya is going to be in my corner during the fight,” Ngebiyana remarked.

Ngebiyana goes into the Rashid fight following an 11th round stoppage loss to Namibian Fillipus Nghitumbwa in a World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global junior-featherweight title contest at the Ramatex Hall in Windhoek, Namibia, in October last year.

Komani-born Ngebiyana has a professional record of 15 wins (11 stoppages) and six defeats while Rashid has only lost twice in 14 victories (10 knockouts) and two draws.
