Former Bafana Bafana, Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows goalkeeper Roger de Sa has signed a four-year contract to become the assistant coach of the Qatar national team.
The 58-year-old former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits mentor is going to become Qatar national team coach Carlos Queiroz’s assistant.
De Sa has in recent years tagged along whenever Queiroz secured a national team job as they worked together in Egypt, Iran and now Qatar. Both De Sa and Queiroz were born in Mozambique.
