South African football is under a dark cloud following the sudden passing away of Richards Bay FC captain Siphamandla ‘Spepe’ Mtolo on Tuesday.

Mtolo tragically passed away after he collapsed during training on Tuesday morning. He played his last match during the Natal Rich Boyz’s 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in a DStv Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, last weekend.

The 29-year-old Mtolo, who was a midfielder, was a key player at the Natal Rich Boyz after leading them to promotion to the Premier Division at the end of last season.
