World champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga is going to fly out of South Africa to attend the International Boxing Federation (IBF) awards in the United States.
The reigning IBF junior-flyweight king is going to receive the IBF Fight of the Year award at the organisation’s 38th convention, which is scheduled for The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, California, from 28 May to 1 June.
This award recognises Nontshinga’s fight against Mexican Hector Flores in Hermosillo, Mexico, which he won by a split decision early in September last year. The 24-year-old unbeaten Nontshinga handed Flores his first career loss.
