Chippa United have reached the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup following a 2-0 win over Limpopo amateur side Mpheni Home Defenders at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday afternoon.
The Chilli Boys scored their goals in both halves through Ronald Pfumbidzai in the 31st minute. Diego Appollis netted the Chilli Boys’ second goal in the 70th minute.
Meanwhile, Royal AM also reached the last-eight of the Nedbank Cup after they beat their neighbours Lamontville Golden Arrows 3-1 at the Princess Magogo Stadium, KwaMashu, Durban.
Levy Mashiane scored twice for Thwihli Thwahla with the third goal coming from Ricardo Nascimento and Knox Mutizwa netted for Abafana Bes’thende.
