Erstwhile South African female flyweight champion Noxolo Makhanavu is scheduled to square up against Babalwa Nonqonqotho on Sunday.
The two lasses are going to fight for the vacant Eastern Cape female bantamweight title at the Orient Theatre in East London. This is Makhanavu’s second fight since she relinquished her SA title following a health scare in August 2021. She lost to former SA female bantamweight champion Melissa Miller in Middleburg, Mpumalanga, in April last year.
Meanwhile, former World Boxing Federation (WBF) and SA lightweight champion Ayanda Nkosi faces Kiaku Ngoy in the main supporting bout over eight rounds.
