Amajimbos atoned for their loss in the opening match as they defeated Zambia 3-2 in an Africa Cup of Nations Under-17s tournament at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui in Algiers, Algeria, on Wednesday evening.
The South Africans shot to the lead when Vicky Mkhawana netted in the 13th minute. Mkhawana completed his brace in the 31st minute.
The Zambians pulled one back through Emmanuel Mwanza on the stroke of half-time. Mwanza equalised three minutes into the second half.
Michael Dokunmu restored Amajimbos’ lead in the 76th minute. Amajimbos, who are third in Group B are now going Nigeria on Saturday.
