No trophy and medals presentation will be done after the last matches of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, which are going to play at different venues this coming Sunday.
This is so because all the matches involving championship contenders are going to be played at three provinces. The winners of the Motsepe Foundation Championship are going to walk away with R5 million.
“Due to the distances and variables involved, the League has decided that the Motsepe Foundation Championship trophy, team medals, and winner’s cheque, will be awarded at a later stage,” a Premier Soccer League (PSL) statement said on Friday.
Cape Town Spurs, Casric Stars and Polokwane City are fighting to gain automatic promotion to the Premier Division. Spurs are at home to the University of Pretoria while Casric Stars visit All Stars and Rise n Shine welcome Pretoria Callies.
