TS Galaxy goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi has bid farewell to his teammates after he played his last match when the Rockets were beaten 2-1 by Cape Town City in a DStv Premiership match on Saturday afternoon.

As the 25-year-old Buthelezi has left the Rockets, he is going to begin new life as one of Orlando Pirates goalkeepers next season.

“I will forever be grateful for the opportunity this team gave me. Now it’s time for me to say goodbye,” Buthelezi, who also thanked the club’s technical team and supporters, said.

Buthelezi made his Rockets debut in a Nedbank Cup match against Kaizer Chiefs in March last year. He played 21 matches, kept 10 clean sheets and conceded 15 goals this past season. Overall, Buthelezi played 34 games for the Rockets, kept 17 clean sheets and conceded 23 goals.
