Siphosethu Mhlalo is going to clash with Mxolisi Sibiya in an African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC junior-bantamweight title fight, which is going to be the main bout of the KM Sports Promotions tournament at the Orient Theatre in East London on Friday.
The main bout of the tournament was a vacant heavyweight clash between Luvuyo Sizani and Lebogang Mashitoa. But that bout had to be dropped after Mashitoa got injured at training while preparing to face Sizani.
Initially, Mhlahlo from Chintsa and Sibiya were scheduled to face off in an eight rounds junior-bantamweight bout, but things changed after Mashitoa’s injury and their bout was elevated to a title fight.
Meanwhile, Michael Daries from Kirkwood is going to defend his Eastern Cape bantamweight title against Mdantsane’s Likho Sigaba in the main supporting bout.
