Cape Town City have decided to keep veteran left-footed defender Marc van Heerden and they announced on Friday morning that the player had signed a new one-year contract with them.
Johannesburg-born Van Heerden joined the Citizens from Stellenbosch FC last year. The 35-year-old Van Heerden played for AmaZulu, Chippa United and Orlando Pirates before joining Stellies.
