Cape Town Spurs started the PSL Promotion/Relegation play-offs on a positive note as they defeated Casric Stars 1-0 at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, KwaMhlanga, in Mpumalanga on Sunday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, the Urban Warriors broke the deadlock through their top marksman Ashley Cupido following an assist from Jarrod Moroole in the 67th minute.
Spurs’ next game is against Maritzburg United at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town next Saturday while Stars travel to the Team of Choice in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday.
