There was jubilation as Manchester City completed a domestic double after they won the the FA Cup trophy following a 2-1 win over their archrivals Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday evening.
The English Premier League champions shot to the lead as early as 12 seconds into the game when Gundogan netted for them. Cityzens goalkeeper Stefan Ortega sent a long ball which was headed on to Gundogan’s path for him to score the fastest goal in FA Cup history.
The Red Devils equalised from the penalty spot through Bruno Fernandes after Jack Grealish had handled inside the box in the 33rd minute.
The Cityzens restored their lead when Gundogan completed his brace six minutes into the second half.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s boys are going to play against Serie A side Inter Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadium in Istanbul, Turkye, next Saturday.
