Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid confirmed on Sunday that their star striker Karim Benzema will leave the team on Thursday.
The Frenchman will leave the Spanish side having played 647 matches and scored 353 goals plus 165 assists since arriving at the Bernabeu in 2009. Benzema is the current Ballon d’Or and UEFA Player of the Year winner.
The 35-year-old Benzema won four La Liga titles, three Copa Del Rey, three Supercopa, five UEFA Champions League trophies, four Super Cup and five Club World Cup tournaments.
