The late former Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker, who passed away aged 78 on Saturday last week, is going to be buried on Thursday.
Barker passed away after he lost a battle with Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). Barker, who won the 1992 Coca-Cola Cup trophy with AmaZulu, also coached clubs like Mpumalanga Black Aces, Maritzburg United, Santos, Manning Rangers, Bush Bucks and Durban City.
He was in charge when Bafana won the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa and then led them to qualifying for the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals in France. Unfortunately, the South African Football Association (SAFA) fired him a few months before the 1998 World Cup finals started.
