It was tears all round at the Harry Gwala Stadium as Cape Town Spurs were promoted to the Premier Division following a goalless draw with Maritzburg United in a PSL Promotion/Relagation play-offs match on Wednesday evening.
The Urban Warriors went to Pietermaritzburg needing only a point after they had collected nine points from three matches and they succeeded as they drew with the Team of Choice.
The goalless draw sent the Team of Choice straight to the second tier of South African football – Motsepe Foundation Championship – after they qualified for the play-offs following a 15th place finish last season.
