Kaizer Chiefs have announced that their defender Siyabonga Ngezana has left them to join Romanian Lige 1 side Fotbal Club FCSB, formerly known as Steaua București.
Amakhosi announced Ngezana’s departure for the Romanian club on Thursday morning. Ngezana will turn 26 next month. Ngezana from Sebokeng, Vereeniging, in the Vaal joined Amakhosi in 2017 and played 123 matches for the Soweto side.
“Siya has had a good and substantial career at Kaizer Chiefs and feels the time is right to take up a new challenge,” Amakhosi sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior said.
