World title contender Regie ‘Filipino Phenom’ Suganob is enroute to South Africa to face Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) next Sunday.
Suganob, who will attempt to wrestle the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight crown from the 24-year-old Nontshinga, is going to land at the King Phalo Airport in East London on Monday.
“Yes, we are ready. We are good to go. We’ll be in East London on June 26,” Suganob’s promoter and manager Floriezly Podot revealed.
This is going to be Nontshinga’s first defence of the IBF title he won on a split decision during his fight against previously unbeaten Mexican boxer Hector Flores in Hermosillo, Mexico, in September last year.
Suganob, meanwhile, got an opportunity to challenge Nontshinga after he defeated his Filipino compatriot Mark Mendoza Vicelles by a technical decision in February this year.
