Following the cancellation of his fight against Hamidu Kwata almost two weeks ago, Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini has quickly got another opportunity to finally face the Tanzanian.

Dlamini whose fight against Kwata was dropped from a Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP) tournament, which took place at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) more than a week ago, clashes with the Tanzanian at the Box Camp Booysens this coming Saturday.

“I’m grateful to Colin (Nathan) for making this fight happen. He quickly came up with a plan. I took a day off after that cancellation and then returned to training thus I feel ready for Saturday,” Dlamini, who is rated 12th by the International Boxing Federation (IBF), said.

This is going to be Dlamini’s first fight since he lost on points to British boxer James Dickens in a vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight title contest in Liverpool last October.

The 29-year-old Dlamini, who was born in Welkom in the Free State, takes a professional record of 18 victories (10 knockouts), two losses and a draw to the fight while Kwata has registered 13 wins (seven stoppages), five defeats and two draws.
