It was action galore as Kaine Fourie became the new African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC lightweight champion on Friday evening. 

This came after Fourie defeated Lancelot Moyo from Zimbabwe by a third round technical knockout at the Union Sports Arena in Turffontein, Johannesburg. 

Donjuan van Heerden, who walked away with the Male Prospect of the Year award at the recent South African Boxing Awards ceremony in Durban, stopped Durandt Verwey in the first round.
