The Springboks survived a scare as they beat Argentina 22-21 in a Rugby Championship match at Ellis Park in Johannesburg on Saturday evening.
After trailing for the better part of the match, the Los Pumas launched a late charge as they scored two late tries.
The Boks, who led 15-9 at half-time, scored three tries, two conversions and a penalty. Eben Etzebeth, Damien de Allende and Manie Libbok crossed the try line with Libbok succeeding with two conversions and a penalty.
The Los Pumas’ tries came from Mateo Carreras and Gonzalo Bertranou. Santiago Carreras succeeded with one conversion and three penalties.
