England’s Lionesses are going to face the Nigerian Super Falcons in a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup last-16 encounter next week.

This came after England topped Group D having won all their three matches with them dishing out a ruthless performance as they routed China People’s Republic 6-1 at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide, Australia, on Tuesday.

Lauren James netted a brace with Alessia Russo, Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly and Rachel Daly scoring the other goals while China’s consolation goal came from Shuang Wang.

Meanwhile, Denmark are going to play against co-hosts Australia in the next round following their 2-0 win over Haiti in another Group D match on Tuesday.
