Kadidiatou Diani scored a hattrick when France defeated Panama 6-3 in a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Group F clash at the Sydney Football Stadium in Australia on Wednesday.
Other France goals came from Maelle Lakrar, Lea le Garrec and Vicki Becho while Marta Cox, Yomira Pinzon and Lineth Cedeno scored for the Panamians.
With the result, the French advanced to the second round of the tournament while Panama are going home.
Meanwhile, Jamaica reached the last-16 of the tournament for the first time following a goalless draw with Brazil at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
