Sweden are through to the quarter-finals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after they beat defending champions United States 5-4 on penalties at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium in Australia on Sunday.
The match was decided on penalties after the two sides had played to a goalless draw in two hours of football.
Meanwhile, the Swedes are now going to play against Japan in the quarter-finals of the tournament next weekend.
