Unbeaten world champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga from East London returns to action against Mexican opponent Adrian Curiel Dominguez in November.

Nontshinga, who successfully defended his International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight title against Filipino boxer Regie ‘Filipino Phenom’ Suganob in East London last month, will be making a voluntary defence against the Mexican in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on 4 November.

Contacted for comment, Nontshinga’s trainer and international advisor to Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP), Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan said: “Nothing has been confirmed yet though it’s being spoken about.”

The 24-year-old Dominguez, who has a professional record of 22 wins (three stoppages), four defeats and a draw, is rated 11th by the IBF and 14th by the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Nontshinga’s fight against Dominguez is going to be the co-main event together with Joe Cordina’s clash against Edward Vasquez from the United States.

Unbeaten Cordina from Cardiff, Wales, will be making the second defence of the IBF junior-lightweight crown he won after he stopped Japanese boxer Kenichi Ogawa in June last year. Cordina outpointed Tajik Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov in his first defence four months ago.
