The Sharks announced the signing of veteran scrumhalf Francois Hougaard on Sunday afternoon.
The 35-year-old Hougaard, who was born in Paarl in the Western Cape, has signed a short-term deal with the Sharks.
Hougaard has been around the block having played for Saracens, Wasps, Worcester Warriors, Blue Bulls, Southern Kings, and Western Province.
