Kaizer Chiefs have won their second successive match after they beat Stellenbosch FC 2-0 in a DStv Premiership tie at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Following a goalless first half, Pule Mmodi’s rocket shot gave Amakhosi the lead seven minutes after the half-time break.
Disaster struck when Stellies were reduced to 10 men after Devin Titus was red carded in the 56th minute. Match referee Thando Ndzandzeka sent Titus for an early shower following a foul on Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
Second half substitute Christian Saile increased Amakhosi’s lead a minute before full-time.
This victory followed after Chiefs ruthlessly walloped AmaZulu 3-0 at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, last weekend.
Meanwhile, piled more pressure on Cape Town Spurs coach ShaunnBartlett after they defeated the Urban Warriors 3-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
Tshegofatso Mabasa scored a brace for the Dube Birds and the other goal came from Gabadinho Mhango while Therlo Moosa netted for the Urban Warriors.
