Sada-born Landile ‘Man Down’ Ngxeke will return to the ring just over a month after he stopped Argentine boxer Luciano Francisco Baldor at the Orlando Community Hall in Soweto.
Ngxeke is pencilled to defend his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global bantamweight title against Denmark Quibido from the Philippines at the Orient Theatre in East London on Saturday, 30 September.
The 27-year-old southpaw, who is the current Filipino junior-bantamweight champion, will be making his second visit to South Africa.
Quibido didn’t do well in his first visit to South Africa as he lost to Sikho Nqothole when they fought in a WBO Global junior-bantamweight title contest at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg, in October last year.
