Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini’s trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan is satisfied with his boxer’s preparations ahead of his fight against Tomoki Kameda in Japan this coming Saturday.

Dlamini clashes with Kameda in an eliminator for the number two position on International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight ratings. This fight is going to be held at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.

“Things are going well. Lerato is settling in nicely and his weight is exactly where we need it to be,” Nathan said from Japan.

Currently, the 29-year-old Welkom-born Dlamini is eighth on the IBF ratings while his opponent is three places above him.

Kameda is a former World Boxing Organisation (WBO) bantamweight champion, who has 40 wins (22 stoppages) and three losses compared to Dlamini’s record of 19 victories (11 knockouts) and two defeats.

Meanwhile, this bout is going to be promoted by Koki Kameda’s Kameda Promotions where unbeaten Japanese pugilist Yudai Shigeoka fights against current IBF minimumweight champion Panya Pradabsri also known as Petchmanee CP Freshmart from Thailand.

The 26-year-old Shigeoka has an impressive record of five stoppages in seven victories while Pradabsri is a veteran of 40 wins with 24 knockouts and a loss.
