The Springboks have lined up a 2023 Rugby World Cup semi-final clash after they beat hosts France 29-28 at Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Sunday evening.
After trailing 19-22 at the end of the first half, the Boks came good in the second stanza and Eben Etzebeth’s try made all the difference.
All in all, the Boks scored four tries – Kurt-Lee Arendse, Damian de Allende, Cheslin Kolbe and Etzebeth – while Les Bleus’ three tries came from Cyril Baille (two) and Peato Mauvaka.
Manie Libbok succeeded with two conveesions before he was replaced by Handre Pollard, who contributed with a conversion and a penalty.
On the other hand, Les Bleus fullback Thomas Ramos succeeded with two conversions and then converted two penalties.
