Richards Bay FC moved to the second round of the Carling Knockout after they defeated Moroka Swallows 1-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Sunday afternoon.
The Natal Rich Boyz led 1-0 at half-time following a 15th minute goal from former Chippa United and Orlando Pirates midfielder Abel Mabaso.
Another former Pirates player Gabadinho Mhango equalised for the Dube Birds six minutes into the second half.
Yanela Mbuthuma made sure that the Natal Rich Boyz dumped the Dube Birds out of the competition when he scored the winning goal in the 61st minute.
