Richards Bay FC have dumped Orlando Pirates out of the Carling Knockout after they beat them 5-4 on penalties at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
This match was decided on penalties after the two sides had failed to score in two hours of football.
Pirates’ Thembinkosi Lorch pocketed R100 000 after he won the man-of-the-match award. This was Lorch’s second man-of-the-match award in this competition.
