Boxing trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan has declared world champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga’s readiness for his fight against Adrian Curiel Dominguez from Mexico.
The defending International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight champion collides with Dominguez at the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monaco on Saturday.
“Everyone is in good spirits, particularly Sive. He cut the weight like a star. He didn’t battle to cut the weight. We didn’t even need a hot bath. He made the weight beautifully like a true professional. The mood is good, we are ready to go,” Nathan said.
Having won all his 12 fights with nine of those victories coming from stoppages, Nontshinga will be making the second defence of his IBF title when he fights against the 24-year-old Dominguez.
The 24-year-old Nontshinga outpointed Filipino boxer Regie ‘Filipino Phenom’ Suganob in his first title defence at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in East London four months ago.
