One of the most accomplished football administrators in South Africa and Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung was officially inducted into the South African Hall of Fame on Thursday evening.
The 79-year-old Motaung joined the late former South African State President Nelson Mandela, legendary golfer Gary Player, the 1995 and 2007 Springbok Rugby World Cup-winning teams, the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team Bafana Bafana.
The event was attended by Minister of Sport Zizi Kodwa, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, Patrice Motsepe, who is the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), former president of the South African Football Association (SAFA) Molefi Oliphant, Lucas Radebe, a former Chiefs and Leeds United defender, and musician Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuss to mention just a few.
