Mamelodi Sundowns won the inaugural African Football League title following a 3-2 aggregate win over Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club.
After they were beaten 2-1 away last weekend, the Brazilians turned the tables and defeated Wydad 2-0 in the second leg at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
The usual suspect Peter Shalulile gave the Tshwane giants the lead from close range in referee’s added time. Seven minutes into the second half, Aubrey Modiba made it 2-0 much to the joy of the Sundowns supporters.
