A simple question asked by one of the members of parliament’s portfolio committee on sport, arts and culture about Khulile Radu’s credentials as an assessor and trainer was left unanswered on Friday last week.
Radu and his fellow Boxing South Africa (BSA) board members failed to respond to a question posed by Tsepo Mhlongo, a member of parliament’s portfolio committee on sport, arts and culture.
The BSA board members faced a proper grilling when they appeared before parliament’s portfolio committee on sport, arts and culture last Friday.
“The issue of training and assessment, the Act allows,” acting BSA chief executive officer Erick Nsikayezwe Sithole said without even quoting the relevant clause in the Act to support his statement.
Radu and former BSA director of operations Loyiso Mtya were responsible for the training and assessment in the first phase. Then Radu went solo in the second phase of training and assessment.
