Banyana Banyana have qualified for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations finals to be staged in Morocco after they beat Burkina Faso 3-1 on aggregate.
After they drew 1-1 in the first leg, Banyana defeated the West Africans 2-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Monday afternoon.
Banyana’s goals were scored by Linda Motlhalo in the first half and Nicole Michael four minutes before full-time.
Meanwhile, Janine van Wyk became Africa’s most capped player – male or female – after she earned her 185th cap during the match.
