Orlando Pirates moved to sixth place on the DStv Premiership standings following a 2-0 win over their neighbours Moroka Swallows at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Tuesday evening.
The Buccaneers took the lead when Evidence Makgopa netted six minutes before the half-time break for his third goal in his last five matches.
Pirates doubled the lead after Swallows defender Sipho Sibiya scored an own goal following some pressure from Monnapule Saleng in the 72nd minute.
