Vusumuzi Vilakazi has been appointed as caretaker coach of struggling KwaZulu-Natal side Richards Bay FC after the sacking of Kaitano Tembo on Christmas day.
Tembo’s sacking on Monday followed just two days after the Natal Rich Boyz were beaten 1-0 by Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg.
The 41-year-old Vilakazi joined the Natal Rich Boyz as their senior coach last month following a brief stint at Eastern Cape club Chippa United.
The Natal Rich Boyz are 15th on the DStv Premiership table with 10 points from 15 matches. They have only won twice, drawn four times and lost 10 matches.
Meanwhile, Vilakazi’s first match in charge of the Natal Rich Boyz is going to be against SuperSport United at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoo.
