Highly-rated boxing trainer Vusi Mtolo prefers not to say much regarding his ‘divorce’ from the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy in Edenvale, Ekurhuleni.
Mtolo has been replaced as chief trainer at the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy just two-and-a-half years after he joined from Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan’s Hotbox Gym. Manny Fernandes is going to join the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy as chief trainer.
“There’s nothing I can say. I have not spoken to them. I only saw that on Instagram and Facebook. Nobody has told me anything. They are just talking nonsense,” Mtolo said.
It’s believed that Mtolo, who was a nominee in the Trainer of the Year category at the 2023 South African Boxing Awards, is leaving the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy with a big number of boxers.
