Carling All Stars defeated Carling Knockout champions Stellenbosch FC 2-1 in a Carling Black Label Cup match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon.
All Stars took the lead when Kaizer Chiefs startlet Mfundo Vilakazi netted from a free kick in the fourth minute. Nine minutes later, Ashley du Preez from Chiefs converted a penalty to make it 2-0.
Match referee Thando Ndzandzeka reduced Stellies to 10 men after he red carded Athenkosi Mcaba for a bad challenge on Jabulani Mokone in the 65th minute.
Mervin Boji pulled one back for the Carling Knockout champions, but it was already a little too late.
