The disciplinary committee of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has come down hard on Moroka Swallows, fining the Dube Birds R1 million and they also lost six points in the process.
This followed after the PSL DC found the Dube Birds guilty of failing to honour two DStv Premiership matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Lamontville Golden Arrows last month.
The Dube Birds will, however, pay R400 000 as R600,000 has been suspended for two years provided they are not found guilty of the same offence during this period. The financially-constrained Swallows have also been ordered to pay the costs of the DC sitting.
