Mozambique’s Mambas are still searching for their first win in the Africa Cup of Nations finals as they drew 2-2 with Egypt at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Sunday evening. 

The Pharaohs took the lead early in the match as Mostafa Mohamed opened the scoring for the North Africans in the second minute.

The Mambas equalised through Witiness Quembo in the 56th minute. Three minutes later, Clesio Bauque gave the Mambas the lead. 

Liverpool star and Pharaohs captain Mohamed Salah kept his team out of jail as he equalised from the penalty spot in referee’s added time. 

Meanwhile, Mozambique’s Mambas have played 13 matches in AFCON finals. They have drawn three times and lost 10 matches.
