Gqeberha-based Premiership club Chippa United announced on Friday evening that Zambian-born forward Augustine Mulenga had left the Eastern Cape side.
The 34-year-old Mulenga, who had only been with the Chilli Boys since the beginning of the current season, is believed to be returning to his former club AmaZulu.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional talent and spirit he brought to our club. Augustine’s celebrated status as a household name made his time with us all the more special,” a Chilli Boys statement said.
“We are honoured to have been a part of his illustrious career and to have witnessed his greatness. The Eastern Cape will cherish the memories created during his stay. We wish Augustine all the best in his future endeavours and adventures.”
