Financially-distressed Soweto side Moroka Swallows did the unthinkable when they fired a record 22 players on Friday.
Bongani Sam, Mthokozisi Shwabule, Thandolwethu Ngwenya, Wade Poole, Wandisile Letlabika, Givemore Khupe, Ntsako Makhubela, Lindokuhle Mtshali, Kwanda Mngonyama, Tlakusani Mthethwa, Siyabonga Khumalo, Falakhe Tshanini, Olwethu Khumalo, Strydom Wambi, Rampa Mkhuseli, Daniel Akpeyi, Thakasani Mbanjwa, Buhle Thompson, Sipho Sibiya, Lantshane Phalane, Ephraim Mangweni and Tshidiso Patjie have all been shown the door.
The players found themselves in the dog box after they refused to honour two fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns and Lamontville Golden Arrows because of salary issues last month.
