That veteran campaigner Jackson ‘M3’ Chauke is going to fight for a world title has been long time coming considering that he’s the most consistent flyweight boxer in South Africa as he clashes against Quaise Khademi on Saturday.

The 38-year-old Chauke faces Khademi, who is nine years his junior, in a vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) flyweight title contest at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, London in the United Kingdom.

Already, Insiders Betting Digest has picked the durable Tembisa-based Chauke to defeat the Afghan-born Briton by a stoppage later in the fight.

Chauke has come a very long way since he stopped Zandisile Twani in the second round in his professional debut at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park in October 2008. And after ruling the South African flyweight scene with an iron fist, Chauke now gets an opportunity to rule the world.

With a professional record of 10 wins (four knockouts) and a loss, 29-year-old Khademi, who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, stands between Chauke and world glory.

In a career spanning almost 16 years, Chauke has registered 23 victories with 15 of those coming from knockouts, two defeats and two draws. Being the outright owner of the SA flyweight belt, Chauke’s two losses were inflicted by the late Lwandile Sityata and Phumelela Cafu.
