Veteran Cape Town City goalkeeper Darren Keet has renewed his vows with the Citizens so that he can stay at the club at least for the next two seasons.
“Keet has done extremely well. He is a model professional with lots of experience and so far this season, has been very good. Happy that the club have extended his contract,” Citizens coach Eric Tinkler said on Thursday.
The 34-year-old lanky goalminder joined the Citizens from Cape Umoya United in 2021. Apart from playing for Bidvest Wits, the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper also turned out for Belgian clubs Kortrijk and OH Leuven.
