Stellenbosch FC and Chippa United drew 1-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands on Friday evening.
Just as it was thought that the two teams would go to the break scoreless, Antonio van Wyk put Stellies ahead on the stroke of half-time from Andre de Jong’s assist.
The home side suffered a blow when their defender Olivier Touré was red carded after he received a second yellow card in the 54th minute.
Craig Martin, formerly with Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, equalised for the Chilli Boys in the 68th minute after he was set up by Bienvenu Eva Nga.
