After drawing their first two matches, Chippa United co-coaches Thabo September and Kwanele Kopo finally got a win as they led the Chilli Boys to a 3-0 victory over Richards Bay FC in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday evening.
The Chilli Boys shot to the lead when their experienced defender Justice Chabalala scored seven minutes into this encounter.
Five minutes later, in-form Craig Martin, formerly with Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, netted the Chilli Boys’ second goal and Kayden Francis made it 3-0 in the 74th minute.
Elsewhere, Cape Town Spurs stole a point when they held Orlando Pirates to a 1-1 draw with Relebohile Mofokeng netting for the Buccaneers and Michael Kamagi scored for the Urban Warriors at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto while Maloisane Mokhele’s goal helped Sekhukhune United defeat Royal AM 1-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
