South African boxer Sabelo Ngebiyana remains unperturbed as he is going to square up against unbeaten Tanzanian opponent Ibrahim Mafia whose birth name is Ibrahim Mustafa Kodema in Tanzania on Saturday.
Komani-born Ngebiyana collides with the unbeaten Mafia in a vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Africa bantamweight title contest at a tournament, which is promoted by Anathol Wannah’s Mafia Boxing Promotion at the Mafia Boxing Arena in Mbezi Msumi, Dar-Es-Salaam.
“This is a good opportunity for me, opening the year with a fight like this. It’s a good fight. It gives me hope that I can become a champion again. Winning this fight will give me a chance to be rated at bantamweight,” Ngebiyana said.
This is the former South African junuor-bantamweight champion’s second visit to the East African country in less than six months. He was outpointed by Tanzanian boxer Oscar Duge at the Ubungu Plaza in Dar-Es-Salaam on Boxing Day last year.
